Chevrolet recently revealed the all-new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8. It has impressive new features, but most exciting of all is that this is the first Corvette to have its engine placed behind passengers.

The Corvette C8 has a 6.2-liter V8 engine placed mid-way back that pairs with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to achieve 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. There isn’t any manual transmission option, though the Electronic Transmission Range Selector allows you to shift by simply pushing buttons.

The stylish exterior of the mid-engine Corvette C8 is similar to the Stingray, which makes sense given that the base trim is still being referred to as a Stingray. Some new changes to the design are the dual fuel tanks and the new tail. Plus, on the sides of the nose, engine-coolant heat exchangers are mounted.

Inside, it’s now easier to get in and out of the car, since the engine hasn’t been moved. Plus, there are many other controls around the driver’s seat to make driving a breeze. An 8-inch touch screen also angles toward the driver for added convenience.

We at Hammer Chevrolet are thrilled for the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8. Until it reaches our store, come take a test drive in the 2019 Corvettes at our dealership.
