Chevrolet Truck Cab Options: Which Is Best for You?
Buying a Chevrolet pickup truck is a great idea. These models are rugged, versatile, and strong enough for any challenge. One of the most important choices to make when finding your new Silverado or Colorado is what kind of cab you want. Here is a quick guide to help you decide which option would be the best fit for you.
Chevrolet Colorado cab options
The midsize Colorado pickup truck is available with either an extended cab or a crew cab.
Both cab options come with four doors; however, the crew cab will give you more room in the back seats. The extended cab comes with 28.6 inches of second row leg room, while the crew cab offers 35.8 inches.
If you choose the extended cab, it is only available with the long box. In contrast, the crew cab is available with either the short or long box.
Chevrolet Silverado cab options
On the Silverado 1500, there are three cab sizes you can choose from: regular, double, or crew.
The regular cab only has two doors and is restricted to just the WT trim with the long bed. With the double cab, the Silverado has four doors, but has limited space in the second row. It is only available with the standard bed on the WT, Custom, and LT trims.
The Crew cab gives you the most cabin space and is available on all trim levels. It comes with either the short or standard bed, depending on the trim.
The decision comes down to whether you plan on having a couple passengers ride in your truck on a regular basis or want extra space for in-cabin storage. Visit Hammer Chevrolet and see the differences in person so you can figure out which Colorado or Silverado cab you like most.
